Journalist Mentor Kikia has spoken on the "Open" show about the arrest of former senior FBI official Charles McGonigal and the mention of Prime Minister Edi Rama in the indictment.

Kikia said that even if McGonigal is found guilty by American justice, Albania is still not implicated, adding that he is skeptical of a possible investigation by SPAK.

However, I think that even if McGonigal is found guilty in the US, even though he lacks charges for the affair here, the charges are related to abuse of office and federal crime, which does not implicate Albania. The Albanian side has two parts, economic lobbying, he did not declare in New York where he went and Albania did not declare who he met. It remains to be clarified what he lobbied for in the prime minister's office. The fact that there was no official visit is because none of the American administration was there. If we were talking about the issue of Russia, it would not be Agroni or Ducka.
