Ervin Salianji has called zero the vote in parliament for the dismissal of President Ilir Meta, as the parliament is exceeding its competencies.
Salianji said in the show 'This Week' that the vote is a political revenge because of the independence of the institution, and because of all the elements that Ilir Meta as president of the Republic has made his battles to establish the balance of power.
"In my view, but also in the official statement of the DP, this is an attack on an independent institution. It is a null decision, because the parliament is exceeding its competencies. There is no serious constitutional violation by the President that could give legitimacy to the parliament to take such an action, it is a political attack on an independent institution due to the clash that has taken place both publicly and occasionally. members of that parliament, members of the government or the prime minister himself.
It is a political revenge because of the independence of the institution, and because of all the elements that Ilir Meta as president of the Republic has made his battles to establish the balance of power in a republic which has had a one-party and monist parliament and where the rest of the institutions are controlled by a single man who is Edi Rama.
Thus, the Constitutional Court must return to the tracks of legitimacy by reversing the unilateral decision-making of a parliament which is also substantially illegitimate. "It's a decision-making just to make noise, to divert attention from the election." - said Salianji.
