SP "Senators" come out against Edi Rama for betraying Kosovo and

In addition to the fierce battle of the opposition from all sides and forms, Edi Rama has to face and challenge alone the attacks coming from his own, especially after the statements made recently by the Albanian Prime Minister about the situation in the North of Kosovo. Prime Minister Rama has been publicly criticized in recent days, since he said that KFOR should take control in the North of Kosovo. If so far we have seen that Rama has been criticized by political opponents and analysts, three "senators" of the Socialist Party and prominent figures over the decades, Pandeli Majko, Ditmir Bushati and Sandër Lleshaj, have been added to the long list of opposing voices. Bushati, Lleshaj and Majko have openly opposed Rama's proposal that KFOR take control of the North of Kosovo, a move that eclipses the role of the Kosovo Police, by this movement that eclipses the role of the Kosovo Police, bringing water to the mill of Serbia. Even if we carefully look at the statements made by the former ministers, they seem to assess Rama's language as dangerous and as an attempt "to relativize Serbia's aggression".

Lleshaj: Albania cannot be indifferent to Pristina

This is how the former Minister of the Interior, Sandër Lleshaj, commented this weekend in a media about the recent events in Kosovo, where he specifically focused on the Serbian aggression in Banjska. He stated that what happened in the North of Kosovo was beyond terrorism, describing it as "a genuine military attack". As for Albania's position on Kosovo, Lleshaj said that the country should understand its role well, since according to him, it does not have the luxury of being indifferent to Pristina. "There are similarities with what happened in Crimea in 2014. For me it is beyond terrorism, it is worse than that. This was a real military attack that didn't work. Killing a policeman is not terrorism. The attack was ill-defined. Its essence is little more. The EU is still unable to even recognize Kosovo as an independent state as long as there are still member states that do not recognize it. KFOR does not take permission from anyone for the area it controls in Kosovo. I see no added value other than rhetoric in Rama's request for them. KFOR deserves criticism for being indifferent to such a military arsenal within Kosovo, which I do not believe is the only one. Albania must understand well the role it has. We do not have the luxury to behave indifferently towards Kosovo. Kosovo knows what it wants, no one but them can know. Our role is to support them. Albania only has the duty to ask what they need and then help them. Albania could only help them by supporting them, for better or for worse. The tension between Rama and Kurt should not exist. Kosovo must go from behind in this journey. Even if they choose the wrong path", declared Lleshaj.

Bushati reacts

But Mr. Lleshaj is not the only one, as the former Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, has also opposed Prime Minister Rama regarding his stance on Kosovo. Convinced that Kosovo is a matter of national interest and not a classic matter of foreign policy, Ditmir Bushati requested that the government review its position in relation to the countries of the region, especially Serbia. "Our foreign policy is oriented between Italy and Greece to prove our European and Mediterranean affiliation. We must see Serbia through the eyes of Kosovo. This does not mean that we should not cultivate a normal relationship with Serbia, but maybe even after 50 or 100 years we will not be able to be friends with Serbia. Any kind of road to normality and friendship must pass through Kosovo", emphasized Mr. Bushati during a television interview this weekend. Meanwhile, with critical notes towards the positions, in his opinion, pampering towards Serbia, Ditmir Bushati openly says that this is not a position that belongs to Albania. "The West has pampered Serbia especially in the last 2 years, after the Russian aggression in Ukraine. He winked at either the autocratic approach or the approach to the neighbors. This position does not belong to Albania, because we, before being Euro-Atlantic, have our national interests as Albanians. See how Croatia reacts to everything Serbia does in Kosovo. Are Croatians more or less Euro-Atlantic than us? No! Do they have a national interest more than us in Kosovo? Never!", underlined the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati. Mother's attitude

But it doesn't stop there, as the former minister Pandeli Majko, currently a deputy of the Socialist Party, also "slapped" Prime Minister Edi Rama. The latter has always had a "love-hate" relationship with the prime minister, lit only for the moment and leaving no controversy behind. While he was invited to a television studio a few days ago and focused on the situation in the North of Kosovo, Pandeli Majko says that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is doing his duty, wanting to establish legality in the entire country. So, through this statement, Majko openly criticizes Rama. "Albini is not an accidental politician, you can even call him a literal political animal, but not in the negative sense, but in the positive sense of the compliment. I am following a curve that has to do with a main task of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, for controlling the territory and establishing legality. Albini, from the point of view of the prime minister of Kosovo, is simply doing his duty. In the logic of a prime minister who is trying to establish control, not police, but legal in the entire territory of Kosovo, here you don't have to enter into any kind of debate, whether you do it right or wrong," declared Majko. Likewise, Deputy Majko stung Prime Minister Rama even further, when he pointed out that we have a completely different Prime Minister of Kosovo, who, according to him, deserves only praise, referring to recent events in Kosovo and not only. "We have a completely different Albin today, who can be said with all his heart: "Albin Kurti, ta lumsha". That's it", underlined Majko. he is simply doing his duty. Kurti and Osmani reject Rama's proposal

On the other hand, even the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, rejected Edi Rama's proposal that KFOR take control of the north of Kosovo. In an interview with the Bosnian media "Hayat TV", Kurti clarified that there is no need for such proposals as this part is determined by the international community. He added that to guarantee the security of the territory of Kosovo, first is the Kosovo Police, then come EULEX and KFOR. Meanwhile, the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has taken the same position.
