The head of the DP in Mallakastër, Agron Kapllanaj, has blamed Sali Berisha for the deep defeat of the party in the local elections of May 14.
In an interview for Euroneës Albania, he said that personally there is nothing personal, while he added that the 'conflict' between them came because the latter did not obey him. He further emphasized that Berisha loves you only as his soldier, or else you will be his enemy.
"The rot that we have inside is Sali Berisha. He collaborated with the SP candidates and structures to lose Agron Kapllanaj, but he forgets that there are hundreds of democrats behind Agron Kapllanaj.
Berisha chose to stay angry himself and realized his anger. They used Sali Berisha to achieve their goal.
If we had united and nominated common candidates, but with a spirit from the center, a decision from both groups of the DP, there would be a different spirit in the bastions of the DP. Nothing has happened in my personal relationship with Berisha and with the people around him.
Berisha has only one way, agree with him, be his soldier, and never go against his opinion, and if you think otherwise, you are his enemy. I have decided to be myself and of course give credit as it deserves," he said.
