"He is obliged to come to the session", Bardhi has reacted to McGonigal's session: I have not withdrawn from the interview with Rama

PD MP, Gazment Bardhi, invited to the studio of the "Open" show, spoke about the "McGonigal" case and the reasons behind Prime Minister Rama's avoidance of this event.

Bardhi stated that he has not withdrawn from the interview with Prime Minister Rama, while adding that Minister Elisa Spiropali cannot answer for this issue as she cannot be covered by the latter. He further added that questions about the circumstances of Rama's meetings with McGonigal, the issues discussed and the information sent by his office are matters that only the head of government can answer.

"I have not withdrawn from the interpellation and I have made it clear even today. We requested an interview with Rama about his private issue, it is not related to something that is covered by Minister Spiropali. This is the second session where the Prime Minister is absent and based on the regulation we requested his presence. When this happens he is obliged to come to the hearing. There was only one case where my colleague Agron Shehaj requested an interview and he did the same.

I had questions about what was discussed between the prime minister and the FBI agent. Secondly, there is talk of information in the US indictment sent by Rama's office, one would ask what information was sent. What were the circumstances of his first meeting with McGonigal? These are issues that only Rama knows about, so his presence was mandatory. If I called him as a defendant, he would have the right not to answer," he said.
