The US ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, spoke today about the cyber attacks that hit Albania a few months ago. Kim said that we must accept that cyber attacks will continue and will be a threat in the future, however, he added that the US will do everything possible to support Albania.
"We have been working together to strengthen the cyber defense sector. This is the beginning of the assistance and it is not yet complete. We cannot replace your protection but we will do everything in our power to ensure that you protect yourself.
We must accept that cyber attacks will continue to be an ongoing and ongoing threat. We must try to put ourselves ahead of the threat curve. As we have observed in Albania, national security is vital for data protection.
Today's activity demonstrates international solidarity. I am proud to join my colleagues in supporting Albania. We welcome the continued support of NATO allies. We will continue to work together side by side, " Kim declared.
