The "McGonigal" scandal, the deputy of the DP makes a strong statement: There is an attempt to close the case without starting the investigations

In the show "Open" on News24, this evening there is a discussion about the latest events in SPAK regarding the McGonigal scandal.

Invited to the studio, the former Prosecutor of Serious Crimes Eugen Beçi has stated that the call made by the General Prosecutor's Office to Gazment Bardhi for making available an indictment is just a bureaucratic action.

Beçi clarified that the SPAK must take the decision on whether or not to register the case within 15 days.

Meanwhile, DP deputy Ervin Salianji has stated that SPAK should have already started the investigation mainly because this is an event that has gone viral not only in Albania but has been reflected in the world's largest media.

He added that today's call by SPAK to MP Gazment Bardhi is an empty move and an attempt to close the case by not starting investigations.

Eugen Beçi: Routine practice followed by every prosecutor. it is not a procedural motion, no record of proceedings or material. Just one subject filed a lawsuit. SPAK has requested the presentation of the map in a written and bureaucratic way. Within 15 days, it is decided whether it will be registered or not, only formal information was requested. You said that attached you started a lawsuit project that you did not bring. Now we are in the area.

Ervin Salianji: Empty movement. Encouraging SPAK as a structure heavily invested by politics and internationals, I have the right to say that it has no power to launch an investigation against the prime minister. Today's seemed to me a request for an excuse to close it without starting the investigations. To date, SPAK has not called to question any minister or person in power. Only persons opposed to Rama are invited.

SPAK does not need to be brought to criminal charges. This issue has drowned the world media. At first Rama says I have him as a friend, then he says he is not, then he defends Neza, a private person.
