The Vucic-Kurti meeting in Ohrid, Lulzim Basha reacts

The former chief democrat Lulzim Basha commented on the discussions on the Kosovo-Serbia agreement between Albin Kurti and Aleksandër Vucic yesterday in Ohrid, North Macedonia.

Basha writes in a status on social networks that Kurti has shown that he is at the table with "constructivity and the will to sign an agreement", but expresses regret that this agreement was not signed by Vu?i?.

An important step was taken today in Ohrid by Kosovo and Serbia on the path of cooperation and European integration. Kosovo under the leadership of Albin Kurti showed once again that it is at the table with constructiveness and the will to sign an agreement that serves Kosovo but also the region and Serbia itself to open a new page of peace and stability. It is a pity that Serbia again refused to sign this agreement, which would show the full extent of its commitment to a new chapter in its relations with Kosovo and the EU.

Kudos to the EU, Josep Borrell, Miroslav Lajcak for the USA and Gabriel Escobar for the titanic efforts to get to this point. Let's hope that a new light is dawning for Kosovo, Serbia and our entire region.
