Tension within the opposition/ Berisha makes a sudden move and votes for the candidates for municipal councilors, Alibeaj pulls out the names of May 14 from the new seat

As we are less than two months away from the May 14 local elections, political activities become more intense, at least in the opposition camp.

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for the Municipality of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, will today hold a meeting with the youth of the FRPD at the headquarters of the Democratic Party, the "Pjeter Arbnori" hall.

This evening at 21:00 Berisha convenes the presidency, where the agenda is the discussion and approval of the lists of names of the municipal councilors of the country's municipalities for the "Together We Win" Coalition.

It is learned that until today's noon, in the meeting, mainly the heads of branches of the Alibeaj group are mostly to compete with candidates in all the municipalities of the country.

On the other hand, there are also presidents who declare that in those branches where the candidates of the Primaries have the potential to win, they will be left without Alibeaj candidates in front of them.

Meanwhile, today the commanding chairman of PD Enkelejd Alibeaj releases the candidates for May 14. Alibeaj said yesterday, after the meeting with the PD group and the Presidency, that today the decision will be formalized regarding how to compete in the "local".

"Tomorrow the grassroots forums will meet, they will bring what is needed. The final decision will consist of the presidency, the group and the college... tomorrow (today) will be complete", he said.

Monday is the deadline to bring the lists of candidates for mayors and municipal councils to the CEC.
