6 deaths and 392 new cases of COVID-19 in Kosovo

1618 TESTS, 222 CURED AND 392 CASES WITH COVID-19!
During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories with the method RT-PCR, were tested a total of 1618 samples taken from HUCSK and tracking of case contacts in the field, of which resulted 392 positive cases.
Within 24 hours 6 deaths were reported with SARS CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from the municipalities: Gjilan 1 case (72 years old), Kamenica 1 case (57 years old), Mitrovica 1 case (83 years old), Prishtina 1 case (73 years old), Year 1 case (51 years old), Vushtrri 1 case (62 years old).
The total number of positive cases is 58,088 cases out of 219,760 suspects in the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 1,456 deaths.
During the last 24 hours, 222 patients have been cured while the total number of cured to date is a total of 50,953 cases, while the number of active cases is 5,679.
Positive cases are from the municipalities: Prishtina 142 cases, Podujeva 34 cases, Prizren 34 cases, Mitrovica 29 cases, Ferizaj 26 cases, Gjilan 19 cases, Gjakova 15 cases, Lipjan 15 cases, Vushtrri 11 cases, Fushë-Kosovë 10 cases, Skenderaj 10 cases, Obiliq 7 cases, Drenas 5 cases, Klina 5 cases, Rahovec 5 cases, Viti 5 cases, Deçan 4 cases, Kaçanik 4 cases, Kamenica 3 cases, Shtime 3 cases, Malisheva 2 cases and with 1 case each municipalities: Dragash, Kllokot, Peja and Suhareka.
Given the assessment of the current situation with COVID -19, today we have registered 392 positive cases and an increase in hospitalized cases.
Doctors in hospitals are fighting against this insidious and destructive virus with all their professional and human strength.
The number of positive cases continues to be high and worrying as a direct consequence of the neglect of the measures.
NIPHK reiterates its call for the implementation of all general and specific measures for protection against the COVID-19 pandemic.
NIPHK appeals to all citizens, institutions and public and private organizations, to respect and take all necessary measures for the prevention, management and control of COVID-19 infection, taking into account the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Combating the COVID-pandemic. 19, and decisions in force on the measures and obligations of institutions to implement general and specific measures for protection against the COVID-19 pandemic.
In particular, we call for the implementation of the recommendations and the observance of restrictive measures for public activities, namely restrictions on the gathering of citizens and public gatherings.
Gathering citizens without masks and keeping distance increases the risk of spreading the infection while the SARS-COV-2 virus is present among us.
We appeal to the responsible institutions, namely the Kosovo Police and the responsible inspectorates to closely monitor and take all necessary actions to implement other measures and decisions in force pursuant to the Law on Prevention and Combating Pandemic in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
