The EU has never been clearer than this: If it does not accept the Kosovo agreement, Serbia will not be an island, but "Iran in Europe"

Several EU MPs have told their colleagues in the Serbian parliament what could happen if Serbia is not constructive in reaching a final comprehensive agreement with Pristina. According to the Serbian medium N1 , they have warned Serbia that it can become the Iran of Europe.

"If the agreement is not accepted, Serbia will not be an island, but Iran in Europe," a source told N1, quoting the words of a member of the EP. He adds that the MEPs say that Vu?i? was told at the meeting with the international five on January 20 that Serbia's entry into the EU can be achieved in 2030 and that this package should be applied to all the countries of the Western Balkans.
