DASH advisor talks with Kurti and Vucic, Chollet: The parties must implement the "Ohrid Agreement"

The adviser of the American Department of State, Derek Chollet, has announced that he spoke with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Aleksandër Vu?i?, regarding the attack in the north of Kosovo, on September 24.

In a reaction in "X", Chollet writes that he has strongly condemned the violence against the Kosovo Police, while adding that "both sides must return to the dialogue mediated by the EU and implement the Ohrid commitments".

"We spoke with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, about Sunday's terrible attack in Kosovo. We strongly condemn the violence against the Kosovo Police; I expressed my condolences for the loss of Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku," he wrote.

As for his conversation with Vucic, Chollet writes that he talked with the Serbian president about avoiding actions that could further fuel tensions in the North.

"We talked with President Vu?i? about the importance of immediate de-escalation in the north of Kosovo and the avoidance of actions that could further increase tensions. The tragic loss of life underscores the urgent need to restore calm and return to the EU-facilitated Dialogue," writes Chollet.
