Prime Minister Kurti meets Germany's special envoy for the Balkans, the discussions become clear

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the first Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, today welcomed the Special Representative of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin. The meeting discussed the post-election process in the four municipalities in the north of the country, including the oath and the first day at work of the elected mayors.

"The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of respecting the results of the democratic elections, adding that the visit of the mayors to their work offices and the provision of basic services to citizens should be treated as normal. ", it was announced in the communiqué.

None of them was sworn in the facility of the respective municipality, except for the mayor of the north of Mitrovica. The elections in the north have been boycotted by the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, Lista Serbe, with the support of official Belgrade.

The previous chairmen from this party resigned in November of last year. They have left the institutions as a sign of dissatisfaction with the decision of the Government of Kosovo, which obliged citizens to return their license plates from illegal ones to those of the Republic of Kosovo.
