Lajcak warns of new developments: Kurti-Vucic may meet before summer vacation in Brussels

EU Envoy for Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has completed a three-day visit to Kosovo. Lajcak said he was working on a meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic before the summer holidays in Brussels. At the end of the meetings, the senior EU official said that the main purpose of his visit was to discuss the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and that there should be a high-level meeting to achieve results. "I am engaged in individual meetings with both Prime Minister Kurti and President Vucic to make sure that the next meeting gives us results so that we do not criticize each other, we want to agree on important issues, for the citizens," said Lajcak. He assured that there is no modality on the table for the Association of Serb Majority Municipalities. "There is no proposal on the table, "There have been discussions on this issue with both Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi and Prime Minister Kurti, it will definitely be mentioned in the next meeting because it is always raised as a topic in these meetings," he said. The EU envoy added that the priority at this stage of the dialogue is to clarify the fate of those missing since the war. As for the license plates of vehicles, Lajçak said that it is no longer a topic of discussion. "Registration plates are no longer part of the dialogue now, it will be the decision of your Government. "Meanwhile, I have discussed with Prime Minister Kurti and you can wait for the statement on this issue", said Lajçak. The Special Envoy for Dialogue also had a closed meeting with representatives of the Serbian List and the mayors of the four northern municipalities of the country.
