The drug Ivermektin, which is used to treat patients infected with coronavirus, will arrive in Macedonia tomorrow. The drug agency MALMED gave the green light for behavior in the country.
Epidemiologists call for the drug Ivermektin, which has been used in our veterinary service for years, to be part of the therapy for the treatment of patients with coronavirus complications, because studies from Western countries have shown that it has given excellent results.
The director of the agency, Lirim Shabani, says that this is good news because it is a cheap medicine, so it was not known if there would be interest for import.
Ivermektin is a drug that is not produced locally and was not even registered there. The Infectious Diseases Commission has also approved this medicine.
