From the beating of the American citizen to the presence of extremist groups, the behind-the-scenes and violent incidents from the protests in Serbia are revealed

 Saturday's protest, which has been considered the largest so far in Serbia, against the leadership of President Aleksandar Vucic, did not pass without incidents. A 22-year-old man has been escorted to the police, as it is suspected that last night, in the main square Nikolla Pashiq, he hit an American citizen, who allegedly had previously provoked the citizens who were there. After consultation with the competent prosecutor's office, misdemeanor charges have been filed against him and the American citizen, with unregistered residence in Serbia, for disturbing public peace and order. In addition, a misdemeanor charge has been filed against the American citizen for violating the law on foreigners. By decision of the Misdemeanor Court in Belgrade, the American citizen was sentenced to 30 days in prison, while the 22-year-old was sentenced to 15 days in prison. As "Blic" reported from the scene, in the "Serbia against violence" protest, at the beginning, a large presence of right-wing or nationalist movements was not observed. They said they would not make speeches but would join the crowd. After the end of the speech around 19:20, however, members of the so-called "People's Patrols", led by Damjan Knezhevi?, were seen in front of the parliament. Just before 20:00, an incident occurred. The group of "People's Patrols" attacked a foreign citizen who spoke English. As N1 reports, the stranger was drunk and provoked the members of the "People's Patrol" who slapped him several times before the police took him away. So, a new protest is planned for next week, the sixth since the two massacres that shocked Serbia.
