Parliament collects signatures for the dismissal of President Milo Djukanovic, here is the article that can "blow him up", Montenegro "hot spot" in the Balkans, fear of destabilizing scenarios from Moscow

Parliament collects signatures for the dismissal of President Milo Djukanovic,

Montenegro is plunged into a deep political crisis and suspicions of Russian intervention to cause destabilization in Podgorica are growing. The parliamentary majority of Montenegro collected 41 signatures yesterday to start the procedure for the dismissal of President Milo Djukanovic. The news was confirmed by the deputy of the Democratic Front, Jovan Vu?urovi?. "The President of Montenegro has violated Article 95, Paragraph 5 of the Constitution of Montenegro because he did not invite all the representatives of the political parties represented in the Assembly of Montenegro to the discussions on the mandate for the composition of the government", it is said among others in the document. Also, it is emphasized that Djukanovic did not even invite Miodrag Lekic, who, with the agreement of the parliamentary majority, received the support of 41 deputies to be the representative for the composition of the new government of Montenegro. The initiative was submitted to the speaker of the Assembly, Danijela Gjurovic. The old pro-Russian parliamentary majority chose the successor of Dritan Abazovic who was not mandated by President Djukanovic because according to him Miodrag Lekic would not be voted by the Assembly of 81 deputies.

On Thursday, Djukanovic threatened to dissolve parliament after rejecting the proposal of the pro-Serb Democratic Front, the Democrats and the URA Movement, that Miodrag Lekic be mandated to form the new government. "I have the impression that there is no clear majority that would be able to form a new government. I believe that the dissolution of the parliament is the most optimal solution in the given political situation and that it is in the best interest of all the citizens of Montenegro, because it opens the possibility of organizing early parliamentary elections in the shortest possible time". Djukanovic said. According to Djukanovic, the one who will be elected at the head of the government will have to face more difficult economic and energy challenges. "The regional and global context, as well as political and security challenges, The economic and financial problems faced by Montenegro, especially in the energy sector, health and other areas, require a competent, responsible and efficient Government that will be dedicated to solving them day and night", he said. The President of Montenegro a few days ago. "There is the possibility of passing a decree to dissolve the parliament, but we will reach a solution that will respect the letter and spirit of the Constitution," he said. The session for shortening the mandate of the assembly is expected to be held on September 30 with the proposal of Djukanovic. The head of state said that September 30 will highlight the deputies who protect the national interests of the country.
