The attack on Kosovo, including Moscow? The security expert raises the alarm: The weapons may have come from Russia!

The evidence provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo is partially sufficient to claim Russian involvement in the attack in Banjska, Nuredin Ibishi, an expert on security issues, told Radio Free Europe.

According to him, the attackers may have obtained the Russian weapons from an earlier supply contracted by Serbia to Russia, but not without the knowledge of the Serbian state. Alternatively, Ibishi says, Russian weapons and equipment may have come directly from the Russians supplying the group's operation in Banjska.

If this assumption is confirmed as a fact, then such a thing, according to him, would directly involve Russian responsibility for the attack. Both variants, according to the expert, require an investigation, which the competent authorities of Kosovo cannot carry out on their own.

"For this we need cooperation and exchange of information with the intelligence services of friendly countries", he insists. Anton Quni, a member of the Parliamentary Committee for Security and Defense Affairs, says that of the weapons confiscated in Bansjka, it is assumed that some of them are of Russian origin.

"Now, how were they obtained, through military institutions or were they found on the black market? This is a matter that the investigative bodies would have to deal with. I am convinced, says Quni, that with the interrogation of the arrested, we will learn this fact very quickly"./REL
