The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has said that Kosovo should reduce tensions and not take destabilizing steps.
After the meeting with the High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrel, Stoltenberg said that Pristina should not escalate the situation and not take unilateral steps that could lead to the destabilization of the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue.
He said that Pristina and Belgrade should join the dialogue, as the only way to peace and normalization. This dialogue is led by the EU.
Jens Stolenber also added that NATO and KFOR will continue to maintain a secure and peaceful environment.
"I spoke with Josep Borrell about Kosovo. Prishtina and Belgrade must engage in EU-led dialogue now, as the only path to peace and normalization. Prishtina should de-escalate and not take unilateral destabilizing steps. NATO_KFOR will continue to provide a safe and calm environment", he writes in a tweet.
