Tragic / The car ends up in kindergarten, 1 dead and 5 injured

A group of children playing in the nursery garden were hit by a car which penetrated the outer fence and hit the toddlers.

A 4-year-old lost his life, another at the same age is in serious condition and four others were injured.

The accident happened at a nursery in L'Aquila, Italy.

Children are from three to five years old.

The severely injured child was transported by rescue helicopter to a hospital in Rome and is now in a confidential prognosis.

The car was parked on a downhill road, when for reasons still unclear it was launched.

Firefighters, police and carabinieri arrived at the scene and are investigating the cause of the accident.
