At lunch or dinner, the meal matters little! Here are five things you should not do right after consuming food. What are they?

Going to bed after eating provokes a heartburn throughout the night. Burning, discomfort, swelling! The golden rule is not to eat for at least a few hours before going to bed.

Drinking tea after a meal interferes with iron absorption. The tannic acid in tea binds to the proteins and iron in our food, preventing our bodies from reaping the benefits of their digestion. This results in an 87% reduction in iron absorption! Low iron can cause anemia, lack of red blood cells, which causes extreme fatigue, weakness, pale skin, chest pain, dizziness, cold hands and feet, brittle nails and lack of appetite.

You probably already thought you could eat fruit at any time, right? Well, it is better to eat them on an empty stomach. This is because fruits require different enzymes to be digested, and the simple sugars in fruits need time to be fully absorbed by the body. On an empty stomach you will benefit from all the nutrients, fiber and simple sugars. If you eat near or after a meal, the fruit remains in the stomach for an extended period, causing indigestion, heartburn and other diseases.
