Identify the cause of the concern

"Discovering the source of the concern is the first important step in stopping it," says Orma. If you suffer from insomnia, you are worried about sleep, if you suffer from a general anxiety, you find it impossible to calm down because your thoughts are engaged with stressors. "You have to determine what keeps you awake and deal with it before you go to sleep," he explains. "People think about all the worries when they are in bed and this is not the time to do it."
