The study published in the journal Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism referred to by AgroWeb.org shows that keeping sugar levels under control is related to the prevention of mental illnesses.
Experts report that people diagnosed with prediabetes who have high blood sugar levels are 54% more likely to develop mental illness than people with normal blood sugar levels.
In fact, prediabetes is seen as the most dangerous period to develop this disease due to the various reactions that occur in the brain.
Doctors say that high sugar levels, even if they are not chronic, cause inflammation
Over time, this inflammation of the brain, if it is chronic, affects faster aging, affecting diseases that affect the mind.
Sugar causes the vessels to narrow, harden and leak harmful chemicals, causing what is called vascular dementia.
Experts say these studies are still early days, but show a clear link between sugar and brain damage.
So they suggest that you always keep your sugar levels under control in order to keep away all the dangers that it brings.
