Albanian football suffers a great loss, the footballer of Skënderbeu dies suddenly

The well-known football player of Pogradec and Skenderbeu, Festim Fetollari, died suddenly at the age of 54. Fetollari will start the football game in Korça with the Skanderbeg youth team.

But since he lived far from Korça, it was difficult for him to continue training normally. That's why he decided to continue the magic of football in Pogradec, since his village Pirg was closer to this city.

His coaches, Urim Jorgoni and Kopi Gusho, immediately included him as a starter with the youth team, but very soon the talented midfielder would move to the adults of the lake team where he played until 1994 with a group of footballers, obviously with the best of the entire history of Pogradec football, from Janaqi and Blaceri, Bashllari and Abazaj, Çekiçi and Laçka and many others who did everything for their team.

After this year, we see Fetollari as a footballer of Skënderbeu, where he played until 1999, to return once again to Pogradec, where he ended everything as a footballer. Later, we see Fetollari as a coach near the Pogradecar club when the lakers were playing in the first category.

For 1 season he was also the coach of the Devolli team to return once again to the Pogradec football academy where he undertook to lead a group of small U11 footballers, who were taught the magic of this game.

With the passing away of Festim Fetollari, Pogradeci and Skënderbeu have lost one of the most popular footballers in the last 30 years. Fetollari was from that "breed" of destructive midfielders, which Albanian football lacks today.
