Budget 2024, Minister Denaj: 7.2 billion ALL direct support for farmers

The budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for 2024 supports the construction of a sustainable future for Albanian agriculture. The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj announced yesterday that through this budget, a fund of 7.2 billion lek is provided for direct support to farmers. "The program for rural development, with a weight of 58% in the Gross Domestic Product and a budget of 7.2 billion ALL, will directly support farmers in the entire territory", declared Denaj. In total, the budget for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is estimated at 14.18 billion ALL and supports 9 development programs in all its sectors such as; expanding the export map for agriculture; animal husbandry and fishing; improvement of the irrigation-drainage infrastructure; strengthening food security; increased funding from the National Support Scheme; sustainable management of agricultural lands through digitalization; counseling and increased assistance to farmers.
