The General Secretary of DP, Gazment Bardhi, said that the opposition should come up with a common candidate on May 14, but it is not clear how this formula can be achieved when the accusations of groups have increased significantly.
He emphasized that he will personally work until the end, so that the opposition has a common candidate. With a softened language, Bardhi emphasized that the fights within the DP are to the advantage of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"What we say is not to leave anyone behind. May 14 is not a battle to defeat Berisha, or Berisha to defeat me. Each of my colleagues and I have been working for 4 months to produce a common candidate. Until that moment, I will try to have a candidate, if we want to give the elections to Edi Rama, to continue with this Alibasha, etc., etc. We will make the decisions in time. How long is the process, which takes another ten days, because I want to continue working to have a common candidate in the elections. We are working and this is our interest," he said.
