Frrok Çupi: This is why SPAK is not arresting Sali Berisha, how will the former prime minister go to handcuffs and what behind the scenes are hidden behind Argita's appearance on the stage
Written by Rigels Seliman 6 Dhjetor 2023
The well-known analyst, Frrok Çupi, has commented on the political situation in the country, while making some strong statements. While he was invited to a television studio, Mr. Çupi revealed why the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) is not arresting former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, to whom the Special Court (GJKKO) has determined the measure of the obligation to appear in the prosecutor and the blocking of the passport in order not to go abroad as it pertains to the "Partizani" affair, a decision which the head of Reestablishment has ignored for a full three times, refusing to appear before the officer on the first and third Monday of every month of the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH). But despite the "war" that has opened the Special Structure, the analyst is convinced that the former Prime Minister Berisha will be investigated and that, according to him, handcuffs await him. He even emphasizes that neither the chaos he is provoking in the Parliament of Albania nor the threats against SPAK prosecutors and judges save Berisha from facing justice. "The state is powerful and it cares about Sali Berisha, even an attack from abroad because we are a member of NATO and an ally of America. I have heard that they say why they are taken to prison, I want to repeat Ilir Meta, or Enver Hoxha who took the class enemy by force and shot him. Berisha is asking him to be taken by force, he is lighting fires, letters, and all this to victimize him. Berisha will go to prison with or without force. At the time that SPAK tolerates, it does not mean that there is a legal violation, but if it was an ordinary citizen, it would not have been tolerated. A policeman that I will take to accompany him would not feel good, the state is powerful enough to take him, but he will not go today, I will go at once, the criminal offense is there. SPAK is a legal entity created with the will of the government and with the help of the US, but SPAK is also made up of people. It is said that they are afraid, but SPAK is only afraid of itself. Berisha and his friends will be there until I give an account. Berisha played that game that he has played all his life. Today he lights letters in the Parliament, when he was in power he killed half of Albania", he declared.
Furthermore, the analyst Frrok Çupi has also commented on the Re-establishment Assembly held this Saturday, where the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha with 99% of the votes of the delegates. At the Assembly, Berisha appeared alongside his wife, Liria, and his daughter, Argita, who even gave a speech. But as for the appearance of the latter on stage, the analyst Çupi has also spoken. "That Assembly has no business with us, nor we with it. It was like a family gathering, it was not a political grouping. It's a family thing that makes each other happy and it doesn't affect the state at all, they didn't even make news. It was an event of Berisha's family. Today, people think why Argita came out and why he didn't say this, when he was a man of the law, he belonged to the clan and the gun. The people have suffered only horrors from him. Those who were there were his people and people who came from the villages who knew where Tirana was", he said.
Integration of Albania in the EU
Meanwhile, analyst Frrok Çupi also focused on the phenomenon of corruption in the country and the process of Albania's integration towards the European Union, expressing optimism that impunity in the country has come to an end and that, according to him, the day when Albania will be in same levels as EU countries. "We are here, we live here and it has been 7 years since the reform started and 10 years since Berisha is no longer in power and Albania has taken Europeanist steps towards the continent. It is all this time when Western politics demands from our country the fight against corruption. Step by step we will witness other things that will happen. Albania will get closer to Europe and will be a member of the EU. It will no longer be surprising that corruption will be at the level of the EU countries", underlined the well-known analyst, Frrok Çupi.
