Even when it's time to eat lunch or dinner, we are among the few countries that still say "let's eat bread".

According to the data, there are approximately 5000 bakeries in Albania. Only in Tirana there can be about 1500 bakeries, while an average family buys at least one loaf of bread a day.

But there is more to choosing your favorite bread than color or flour.

Every choice a consumer makes has an immediate impact on their body.

Therefore, before looking for bread, you should choose that which will prolong your life and not that which will shorten it.

White Wheat Bread

White bread is probably the most consumed bread on the market.

But what you should know is that this bread is one big sugar dump.

Eating this bread will raise blood sugar levels significantly increasing the risk of heart attack, fatty liver, obesity and diabetes.

Researchers have proven that white bread can accelerate the formation of wrinkles on the face and drying of the skin.

White bread is made with processed white flour.

Processing flour means that it has been stripped of its protein and Vitamin B to create a product that is sweeter and easily chewable by the consumer.

No matter how much you try to stay away from sugar, you should know that sugar is used with industrial yeast in the preparation of bread.

If you are confused about the selection of whole grain bread, try to find data on the amount in grams of whole grains used.

If each of them has a few grams of each type of raw grain, then you are probably buying a simple bread with ordinary wheat flour, the so-called massive bread.

Wholemeal Bread? Gluten-free bread, Barley bread, Rye bread? Which one is best for your health?

Wholemeal bread does not irritate the intestines and fills the stomach faster, giving the feeling of satiety.

Not containing a lot of starch, it has fewer calories than white bread and gives the feeling of satiety faster.

The best choice for any consumer is whole grain bread, that made with 100 percent whole grains.

However, if the package says "wheat," "whole wheat," or "multigrain," you're probably just buying white, slightly colored bread.

Unprocessed grains, i.e. whole grains, naturally contain vitamin B as well as proteins. These guarantee a much more youthful appearance of the skin as well as the hair.

Multi-grain bread 
What you need to know is that multi-grain bread differs from 100% whole grain bread, for the sole fact that some types of grain are used in its preparation, but not whole grain, i.e. unprocessed.

The grains used are stripped of fiber and natural ingredients. In most cases this bread contains wheat flour and barley flour.

Meanwhile, wholemeal bread contains the outer fiber of the wheat (bran).

Nutrient-rich core (embryo) and carbohydrate-dense middle layer.

The French say 'goodbye' to bread 
France is known as the birthplace of the "baguette", that long bread so delicious that you can eat it dry.

But bread sales in France have fallen sharply.

If in 1970, a Frenchman consumed an entire baguette, now he consumes half. Experts say that now people are too busy to go to the bakery.

Some others don't even bother to eat breakfast.

But Albanians are not like the French. Albanians consider bread as essential as air and water.

For them, bread is life, the sweat of the brow, the past, the present and the future.

It is important that in the variety of bread choices, you know how to choose the bread that makes the body happy.
