Industrial sugar is one of the most problematic ingredients for anyone's diet in modern times.

It is known as the main enemy of diets because of the large amount of calories it provides to the body.

It is not without purpose that it is one of the most attacked foods as it is linked to many diseases such as diabetes, obesity and heart disease.

Processed sugar, i.e. the kind commonly found in the store, although a source of calories and disease in many cases cannot be completely avoided.

For this reason, AgroWeb.org shows you a simple guide on the amount of sugar consumption for each age.

Unfortunately there is no exact answer to this, as the amount can be different for each person.

However, experts have reached an average level for the consumption of sugar by a person in a day.

According to the American Heart Association (AHA), to which AgroWeb.org refers, the amounts of sugar that men and women should consume are no more than a few teaspoons.

Men are advised to get about 37.5 grams of sugar a day, or about 9 teaspoons. This measure translates into 150 calories.

Women are advised to consume no more than 25 grams of sugar per day or 6 teaspoons which is about 100 calories each day.

There is room for a little sugar in a child's daily regimen.

However, sugar should not become a norm even for children as it can easily lead to obesity.

The amount recommended by experts for children in a day is more or less the amount that an adult can take.

Children aged 4-6 years are recommended to consume no more than 19 grams of sugar per day.

For children aged 7-10 years no more than 24 grams or 6 teaspoons of sugar.

Above the age of 11, experts advise no more than 30 grams per day.

For people suffering from diseases such as obesity or types of diabetes, sugar should be avoided as much as possible.

In such cases you can consume very small amounts of sugar only once or twice a week.

However, doctors advise that it is best to avoid sugar completely.

Make sure you get healthy amounts of sweetness to get the most out of the sugar in the fruit.

Stick to light and natural foods, staying away from processed and high-calorie foods.
