The opera "Rusallka" was put on the Albanian stage on November 27, 1953, a date that entered the history of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet as the day of the foundation of this theater. "Rusallka" by the composer Alexander Sergeyevich Dargomyzhsky decades ago was an Albanian-Soviet production and at that time important names of Albanian art participated in this opera. Academician Vasil Tole, former director of this institution, says that 70 years ago, Albanian music artists, soloists, choir, orchestra and ballet troupe through the staging of Dargomirski's opera "Rusallka" simultaneously marked the establishment of the institution of opera in Albania. . "It was the premiere, which confirmed the maturity of our artistic staff, capable of performing on the Albanian stage the magic genre of the world opera and then also the national ones", says academician Vasil Tole in his reaction on social networks. Opera open to all
The National Theater of Opera and Ballet is the main institution of musical art in Albania. Vasil Tole, former director of this institution, says that today the Opera is open to everyone.
