The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, commented this evening on the depopulation and mass flight of young people from the country. During his speech at the daily civic gathering, Berisha says that, according to him, Rilindja is responsible for this.

According to Berisha, compared to the time when the Democratic Party was in power, the emigration figures have increased significantly. Berisha says that Rama's government, according to him, has emptied Albania. He adds that our country is facing the apocalyptic depopulation of 35% of the population in 10 years, while Rama declares that Albania is in its best days.

Dear Albanians and Albanians, in diaspora, emigration and wherever you are. The importance of your aid and remittances is often talked about. But it is not talked about enough that these remittances are your suffering, blood, sweat, toil and sacrifices. Because this was the cost you paid when you undertook the mass departure from our land in 1991. Therefore, when we talk about remittances, they are not only help for your relatives, they are a contribution of love that you pay to Albania, because even though you have fled, you have build your lives away from it, your dream continues for a democratic Albania, for Albania, the beautiful land.

The dream continues for an Albania integrated into the EU. The dream continues for Albania that we envisioned together 33 years ago. This is a dream that, for the sake of truth, in the government of the Democratic Party, for the first time, became tangible. Edi Rama's propaganda says that there was a mass exodus of Albanians even during the government of the Democratic Party. But the truth is that in those years, the statistics show an ever-increasing population, although at that time people moved freely and visas were liberalized.

The truth is that in those years, many Albanians who fled with the exodus, were returning. Albania in those years was populated, young, confident, energetic, eager for victory. While today Albania with Edi Rama at the head is empty, old, dull and surrendered. Albanian citizens, in diaspora, emigration and wherever you are, don't forget that the word depopulation, the main word of today, was never heard in the government of the Democratic Party. But after 2013, as if the ghost of Enver Hoxha had risen from the grave, another wave of exodus began for Albanians. The biggest wave in the entire history of the Albanian nation. In the 10th year of the Renaissance, like a wild disease that reappears, we were again faced with the sight of rafts and refugees. We faced the highest number of young people leaving after Syria. We faced the apocalyptic depopulation of 35% of the population in 10 years. All this, at a time when Edi Rama mockingly and contemptuously says that Albania is in its best days.
