The Socialist Party has gathered its leadership this evening with the main focus on the May 14 elections.
In this meeting, the candidates for mayors and the municipal councils will be discussed.
Euronews Albania has learned that the main formation of Prime Minister Rama will mainly be the current mayors, but there will also be new figures.
Today, the SP Assembly in Vlora has given the green light to Ermal Dreka, the diplomat who will compete for this municipality.
It is expected that there will be new figures in the municipality of Saranda.
While it is expected that Benet Beci will resign as a deputy to compete in the Municipality of Shkodra and for Besjan Ajazi in the Municipality of Gramsh.
At the end of the meeting, there will be an exit for the municipalities from the 12 district leaders to give the names of the candidates for the municipalities.
