A 23-year-old man was captured by the Kosovo police this Friday, after allegedly kidnapping a person, for whose release he demanded a sum of money (30,000 euros) from the victim's family members.

It is learned that currently the police investigators in coordination with the state prosecutor are carrying out the necessary procedural actions.

A person suspected of kidnapping is arrested

The police officers of the General Investigation Unit of Prishtina, assisted by the Rapid Response Unit, have arrested a person suspected of kidnapping.

The case was reported today around 18:30, where the suspect kidnapped a person, for whose release he demanded a sum of money (30,000 euros) from the victim's family members.

Arrest of the suspect:

Sh. K. mashkull, 23 years old, a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, and the release of the victim (in good health), was made a few minutes after the report as a result of an intensive investigative work, which the police officers have undertaken in cooperation with the prosecutor of the state.

Part of the police action was also the raid and examination of the location where the victim was kept, where the following were found and seized:

-1 weapon

-1 knife

-1 ax and other things.

A car was also confiscated by the decision of the prosecutor.
Currently, police investigators in coordination with the state prosecutor are carrying out the necessary procedural actions.
