Denaj in Lushnjë: New technology, impact on improving production

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, today visited the Agricultural Technology Transfer Center (QTTB) in Lushnja.

"Our efforts for the development of agriculture are focused on the use of the latest technologies and innovative practices, making important steps in improving the production of vegetables and wheat", said Denaj.

There are currently 10 technological studies, 12 test fields that are evaluating about 100 hybrids and new cultivars to ensure high quality and performance.

"In cooperation with the German GIZ project, they show commitment to biological protection from pests and diseases in vegetable production," said Denaj.

Agricultural Technology Transfer Centers have as their objective the generation, adaptation, testing and transfer of agricultural technologies in function of technical and technological progress, increasing the effectiveness and competitiveness of agricultural and livestock production, sustainable development and environmental protection.
