Soprano Eva Golemi and baritone Gëzim Myshketa together with the TKOB Orchestra will make their debut at the "Giuseppe Verdi" theater in Salerno

The artists of the National Opera and Ballet Theater will take the stage of the "Giuseppe Verdi" theater in Salerno, Italy. The well-known soprano Eva Golemi and the well-known baritone Gëzim Myshketa, together with the Symphony Orchestra of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, will debut on the stage of the "Giuseppe Verdi" theater on June 21. This is reported by the National Opera and Ballet Theater itself, which says that it is a concert in honor of the Italian composer Puccini. "This concert comes as a tribute to the 2024 Music Festival, in honor of the composer Giacomo Puccini, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his death," says the National Theater of Opera and Ballet. With an appreciated activity on our stage, but with interpretations and on foreign stages where she has sung before, soprano Eva Golemi says that these collaborations with other theaters abroad are very important. "Cooperation is important. As a soprano, I have performed on very important stages and this concert is definitely a fantastic collaboration to show the values ??of the soloists and the orchestra of the national opera of Albania", says soprano Eva Golemi. In this concert will be the orchestra and choir of the music conservatory "Giuseppe Martucci" Salerno and the TKOB Symphony Orchestra. Conductor Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli, choir conductor Marco Ozbic. Soprano Alessia Panza and tenor Vincenzo Cosanzo are among the two Albanian artists on stage. On this stage, the soprano Golemi will perform the arias Senza mamna and Un bel di vedremo, as well as the duet from Butterfly with the tenor Vincenzo Costanzo. Since 2007, the "Giuseppe Verdi" theater of Salerno has been established on the national opera scene as a theater with a selected program characterized by the presence of well-known artists, placing itself, despite its size, in the same level with the great national theaters, such as the Opera of Rome, "San Carlo" of Naples or "La Scala" of Milan.

The Year of Puccini

During this year dedicated to Puccini, the works of this composer were performed at TKOB. The first opera that opened Puccini's year at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet was "Il Trittico", an opera that has three acts within it. Following the activities, we also mention the opera "Madama Butterfly" at TKOB. Giacomo Puccini (Giacomo Puccini) was born on December 22, 1858 and died on November 29, 1924, known as one of the greatest operatic composers of the late XIX century. At the age of eighteen, the young Puccini presents the cantata "Juno" in the competition, he does not win the prize, but he performs the work, which stimulates his ambition. Under the influence of Verdi's Aida, he turned his interest to the traditions of Italian opera. Puccini wrote 14 operas, and many songs, which are very popular with the world public, especially the aria Nessun dorma, from "Turandot" which was sung by Luciano Pavarotti.
