Lawyer Spartak Ngjela has stated that Greek politics had an interest in blowing up as much as possible the case of Fredi Beleri, a person who competed for the presidency of a small town in Albania, since its target is Himara.

Ngjela: Greece turned an almost ordinary issue into a high-level political issue. This is usually done by dictatorships or governments that are below the elective level of modern politics, or current politics in the west.

So they fell in. But why? What does the Greek prime minister need if a preson has turned out to be the mayor of a small town or not? Who understands this? If you go to high-level political talks, they laugh at you.

Now to come to the matter, the leaders of Omonia have told me that they are upset that the Greek government does not ask about us as a minority, but its aim to win is always Himara. Himara has fixed ideas. So the leaders of the minorities are upset that they have left them and are dealing with the Albanians, because those in Himara are Albanians, they are not minorities.

Xhokaxhi: How is it possible that they reach threats?

Njjela: The main mistake was made by Berisha who declared them a minority. Where are the minorities there? It is the main center of labor because in Himare you have labor from Kurveleshi. But what happened? Saliu gave them the status of minorities. When I went to Himare in the 70s and 80s, there was only one neighborhood that spoke Greek, and a Greek-speaking neighborhood. And when I asked cultured natives and even a writer, they told me that they don't know Greek. Even those who know, have earned it from the trade with Corfu.

He had never given them the right of minority, and they had never asked for it, but Berisha gave it to them. Now what are they doing, nothing. A hole in the water. But the importance is that Himara is a Greek destination. The question here is why? Because despite the fact that Mehmet Shehu was a dictator, I have appreciated one thing from his speeches: "We lost an important part of the patriots of the South, Sulid and Suliotët. They took this, they also took Kurvelesh and Himara from us, we lose a very important thing".
