The former head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, in an interview for the Voice of America, described the decision of the Appeal to give the party seal to Sali Berisha as unfair, adding that his battle is not for a chair or a seal , but for Albania.

Basha also stated that the decision of the Appeal is " a decision in the wake of a coexistence between the prime minister and the former prime minister, where the essence is to deny the Albanians an alternative, a hope, to get out of this situation" .

"The alternative has been revealed, Mr. Rama does not want this alternative to be discussed, he wants the next elections to be held with the gogol Sali Berisha in front of the socialists who are bored and fed up with his corrupt government. Mr. Berisha is satisfied with the seal of the Democratic Party, neither I nor our supporters have ever fought this battle for a seal, for a logo, for a chair, for Albania and for Albanians. Because we believe that Albania deserves more and we are ready to offer it more than the tango of the prime minister and former prime minister", he said, among other things.

Question: Mr. Basha, we are at an important moment for you and your political action. While the Court of Appeal has given a decision which recognized the affiliation of the Democratic Party to Mr. Berisha and his supporters. Meanwhile, the elections are not far away, the next political elections, what does this mean for your political future?

Lulzim Basha: I don't see it once from a personal point of view, or simply from the political force that I led until Tuesday and the union of people who continue to hope for a better Albania, an Albania that deserves more. Here is my focus, here is the focus of those who surround us, support us. Because Tuesday's decision is, in our view, also professionally unfair. And that is why we will appeal to the Supreme Court. It is a decision in the wake of a coexistence between the prime minister and the former prime minister, where the essence is to deny the Albanians an alternative, a hope, to get out of this situation.

Therefore, our main obligation is towards the Albanians and for the Albanians who deserve more than to choose between the prime minister and the former prime minister with the sentence of who is less corrupt and to have a complete alternative.
