Veliaj meeting with the socialists of Unit 7: Our ambition is for Albania to be a member of the EU in 2030

"Our ambition is for Albania to be a member of the EU in 2030", was the statement of the Political Leader of the SP for the District of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, during the meeting with the structures of the SP in Unit 7. He emphasized that the objective of the socialists is to continue with the works started.
 
"Even our opponents are in their best days, they live in a cleaner city, their property is worth three times more, they can burn tires and nothing happens to them because, above all, we are citizens, we are Europeans , we are tolerant. But we also know not to drown in the battles of the day, we know how to move the country forward. Therefore, our ambition is to do more work. Our ambition is for Albania to be a member of the EU in 2030. Only Edi Rama and SP can raise that flag, there is no illusion about that", he said.
 
Veliaj added that whoever made a state and a city in these years, will make a state and a city in the years to come. "In 112 years of our Independence, when have there been better days than the ones we are living today? After independence was declared, the occupation began for 6 months. Ismail Qemali was forced to go to Italy. When we had a modest democratic state with Fan Noli, it lasted 6 months, they expelled Noli and he went to America. When we had Prince Vidin, it lasted 6 months, we returned him. Then came fascism, Nazism. Then, communism, then Saliu's casino-capitalism. You remember her, occupy everywhere, Lana, the parks. Do you remember the Youth Park? It was shock therapy. Today, let's say it with our heads up, the country is living the best days since the Socialist Party, but precisely because we are better socialists, we still have them ahead of us", he said.
 
Veliaj said that Unit 7 is a witness to the changes that have occurred in these years. "Unit 7, starting from "Myslym Shyri", from the main road that is close to the center, is one of the largest areas with AirBnb. There are several levels of buildings where there are more foreigners than locals. We used to have no wells, the bus did not come to some parts of the unit. Our schools were schools for prisons, the kindergarten "Xixëlonja", it was just like fireflies because you didn't see light, you didn't see rays, there wasn't a thing that made a firefly to understand where we were. Even prisons had made them better than kindergartens. Today is an extraordinary day. But you know what? The Fairy of the Mountain did not. It makes a force called the Socialist Party of Albania, which knows how to build a city, which knows how to build a state, which knows how to raise the flag high, which knows how to make us proud", emphasized Veliaj.
