Veliaj wishes Muslim believers for Eid al-Adha: Let's put aside envy and mud towards each other!

From the headquarters of the Muslim Community of Albania, the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, wished all believers a happy Kurban Bayram holiday. Taking the example of the religious communities in Albania, he called to put aside the envy and mud towards each other, as he emphasized that only with cooperation and understanding can we do wonderful things.

"Unlike the ancient times when Ibrahim was asked to sacrifice his son, today we are asked to sacrifice gossip, envy, jealousy, gossip, mud, cynicism, selfishness. The spirit we should have as a society should be like the one we have between faiths. The more loving we are, the more we sacrifice these vices and these vices between us, the more we move forward. We have shown that when we cooperate we can do wonderful things", said Veliaj.

He also thanked the police officers and doctors, who are on duty, even on holidays. "I want to thank all those who served us until late last night, the officers of the State Police, the Traffic Police, the Municipal Police, the doctors. Today is a day off, tomorrow will be a day off again, but not for everyone. For some people, especially for those in uniform, big holidays, big organizations, require more commitments, more hours outside of work, more time away from the family. A gratitude to all those who serve our community even on holidays and days of joy", said the mayor.
