Complaint to the KPA/ Public Commissioner makes the request for the dismissal of the prosecutor of Vlora (Name)

The Public Commissioner, through a complaint addressed to the KPA, requested the dismissal of the prosecutor of Vlora, Erjon Shqarri.

The Public Commissioner, from the review of decision no. 757/2024, of the Independent Qualification Commission, in consideration of the recommendation of the International Monitoring Operation (ONM), finds that the subject of the reassessment has failed to prove the opposite of the burden of proof on the findings resulting from the administrative investigation.

The Public Commissioner requests that the causes of this appeal be considered by the Special Appeal Board and, at the end of a full investigation of the case, decide to change the decision no. 757, dated 9.4.2024, of the Independent Qualification Commission, and the suspension from duty of the re-evaluation subject, Mr. Erjon Shqarri, for a period of one year, and the obligation to follow the training program, according to the curricula approved by the School of Magistrates.

Shqarri has been confirmed in office by KPK in April 2024. Erjon Shqarri started his career in the justice system in 2003 as an officer of the Judicial Police. He was appointed prosecutor in the Tropoja Prosecutor's Office in 2015 and since 2016 he has been working in the Vlora Prosecutor's Office.
