7 packages of cocaine hidden inside a van with English license plates in the port of Durrës, 2 people are arrested (Names)

The border police in the port of Durrës have carried out a check on a van with English license plates, after suspicions of illegal items. It is reported that the scan revealed that the cargo van had hidden 7 packages of cocaine. It is learned that the cocaine was found inside the double bottom created in this cargo van, under the driver's seat. The narcotic was packed in vacuum bags to avoid detection by anti-drug dogs.

Regarding the case, it is learned that two people have been arrested, 38-year-old Arjan Doci and 39-year-old Mentor Çuni, who turn out to be cousins. The van transported items and packages from the Albanian community in England and brought them to Albania and followed the Albania-Italy-England route.

The Directorate for Foreign Relations in the State Police has notified the English counterparts to get more information about who is behind the company which is registered in England. The Directorate of the Criminal Police is known to have contacted the British NCA officers in Tirana for other joint investigations, towards other Albanians involved in this traffic line.
