The documentary "Muharrem Fejzo-In Memoriam" in honor of the figure of the filmmaker

The documentary "Muharrem Fejzo-In Memoriam" comes to the public after the premiere of the restored film "Gunat permbi tela". The Central State Film Archive has dedicated this month to the director Muharrem Fejzo. Today marks 91 years since his birth and the Central State Film Archive states that the documentary that will be shown this evening is a premiere in honor of the multifaceted artist of Albanian art. "The month of May belongs to honoring the figure of filmmaker Muharrem Fejzo", says the archive. The documentary by Namik Ajazi, with the cooperation of the Central State Film Archive, premieres this evening at the Millennium cinema in Tirana. Muharrem Fejzo practiced as a prompter at the People's Theater in Tirana. He also completed his studies in the field of acting and from his great passion for cinema, Muharrem Fejzo contributed as a make-up artist to some of the first Albanian films. Before making his first film, "Montatorja" (1970), Muharrem Fejzo worked as an assistant director in two feature films, "Prita" (1968) by Mithat Fagu and "Guerrilla Unit" (1969) by Hysen Hakan. In 1972, Muharrem Fejzo, together with director Fehmi Hoshafi, made the film "Captain". During his career, director Muharrem Fejzo made more than a dozen other films, among which "Operation fire" (1973) and "The Teacher" (1979) can be mentioned. Muharrem Fejzo made his last film "The Living Wall" in 1989. Muharrem Fejzo was born on May 24, 1933 and died on November 22, 2020.
